Memo RM1995-13A
To: All Kansas State Chartered Banks
From: Judi M. Stork, Deputy Commissioner
Date: May 10, 1995
RE: Call Reports
K.S.A. 9-1704 requires all state banks and trust companies to file at least three reports to the Bank Commissioner during each year, upon the determination of the Commissioner. This memorandum is to notify you No Report of Condition or Report of Income needs to be filed with the Office of the State Bank Commissioner (Office) for the quarter ending June 30, 1995. As no report will be filed with the Office for the quarter ending June 30, 1995, Publication of any such report is also unnecessary.
Additionally, during the 1995 Legislative Session, House Bill 2073 was passed and will become law effective July 1, 1995. This law leaves to the discretion of the Bank Commissioner when and in what form any reports are made to the Commissioner. Effective July 1, 1995, Reports of Condition and Reports of Income will no longer need to be filed with the Office on a Quarterly basis nor will such forms need to be published in a local newspaper. This policy will remain in effect until notification is provided to you which alters this position. This policy does not, however, prohibit the Commissioner from requesting specific financial data from specific banks when the Commissioner deems such information is necessary.
Annual fiduciary reports, filed by trust departments and trust companies, will continue to be required. The appropriate forms will be provided prior to the filing date.
