Employee Spotlight

This quarter, the employee spotlight is on Richelle Williams, Microsystems Support Technician III. The duties of the Microsystems Support Technician III, a new position at the OSBC, include database administration, hardware technical support and assisting with network administration. Richelle brings a variety of Information Technology (IT) skills to the OSBC, including SQL Database experience, website development, and hardware repair. Her current projects include rewriting the regulated institutions databases to link the data to our agency's website. Richelle has nine years of experience in the IT field, primarily in database management. Her most recent employment prior to joining the OSBC was with the Riley County Information Systems, where she worked as an Information Technology Specialist. During her employment at Riley County, Richelle served on the Employee Community Service Committee and chaired the committee for three years. The Committee participated in a number of projects, including a bimonthly blood drive and a community food drive, and focused on building employee cooperation throughout their organization. Richelle moved to Topeka from Manhattan, Kansas to be closer to her fiancé, Mark. During her spare time, she enjoys building and providing computer support for her friends and family and playing with the latest addition to her family, a Dachshund puppy named Lou. She is currently studying for certification as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator and for certification in both A+ and Networks +. Richelle's favorite philosophy is "If I don't know how to do it, I can learn how to do it".
