Topeka Office Participates in Community Food Drive
The Topeka-based OSBC employees once again participated in the annual Project Topeka Community Food Drive. The drive benefits several Topeka organizations that provide assistance to those in need. This year, employees were asked to bring a specific type of food each day for a week. As an added incentive, if an 80% participation level was reached on each of the days, the staff won the privilege of wearing jeans on every Friday in March. As in years past, this proved to be a coveted award and the OSBC employees achieved their goal! A total of 2,664 ounces of food was collected, while cash donations totaled $251.00. Another part of the fund raising effort was the OSBC fifth Annual Chili Cook-off. This year's chili champion was Debbie Richardson, a Review Examiner in the CML division. In addition, a new cooking challenge, the first Annual Bar Cookie Bake-off, was added to the competition. The winning bar cookie recipe was submitted by Erik Berggren, a banking Review Examiner.
